This Janaipurnima which is also known as Rakshya Bandan is celebrated in the month of August for the purpose of bond of purity and security. Janainpurnima is not only celebrated inside Nepal it is observed all over the world mostly by Hind men especially the Brahmins and Chhetri perform their annual change of Janai and all who celebrate this festival put a scared thread around their wrist.
